Meet the Team
GREG HERKER currently serves as the Fab Lab Program Director at Palmer Hamilton, where he leads their efforts in delivering turn-key Fab Lab/Makerspace solutions to K-12 schools across the U.S. Previously, at Gateway Technical College, he was the architect of a variety of programs through the Gateway Fab Lab that support students, the community, and local industry. Mr. Herker currently serves as the Board Chairman of the United States Fab Lab Network (USFLN), has consulted on Fab Lab development through the National Science Foundation (NSF), and assisted numerous educational programs from K12 through post-secondary in their Fab Lab programs. He is also heavily engaged with NC3 in developing training & curriculum for educators to leverage in the Fab Lab. Besides a degree in Business & Communication from Valparaiso University, Mr. Herker is a distinguished graduate of the Dale Carnegie – Sales Advantage Program, a Certified GrowthWheel business advisor, is Certified in Business Incubation Management through the International Business Innovation Association (INBIA), and a 2016 graduate of Leadership Racine.
LUKE JUMPER is an award-winning designer, registered Architect, LEED Accredited Professional, and Illinois Community College Trustees Association Instructor of the year. Luke currently serves as the Design & Training Manager. He is the former Coordinator of the Architectural Technology, Drafting and Design, and Industrial Technology programs at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois. Luke is also the creator and Director of the St. Louis Confluence Fablab. He received his Master’s Degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. In 2017, he earned IL Instructor of the Year. Currently, Luke serves as the Vice Chair of the United Stated Fab Lab Network.
